Executive Chef & Co-Owner: Jeremy Zender
Jeremy Zender is the Executive Chef and Co-Owner of Smoke on the Mountains food truck and mobile catering. He is a Colorado native who, on his free time, enjoys exploring what this great state has to offer. He has 18 years of experience in the vast field of the culinary arts. Working at such prestigious restaurants as The Fort in historic Morrison, Colorado, to Sansei a top rated seafood and sushi restaurant in Hawaii. He has always had a love and curiosity of all different types of cuisine. At a young age he was interested in what was going on in the kitchen, while his parents made dinner. After growing up and getting to experience food from top rated restaurants around the state and the country he was hooked. His first job was the age of 14 washing dishes at a local Mexican restaurant. With hard work and a never give up attitude, he rose up through the ranks over 18 years and became a chef and a leader among the greats of his industry. He has learned from and worked side by side with very talented chefs from Colorado to Hawaii, and is now ready to leap into this endeavor with the frosty that has brought him so far throughout his lifetime!!
Sous Chef: John Sebring
John Sebring was born in Richmond, Virginia, but has lived the last 30 years in Colorado, which he affectionately calls home. John has 23 years of experience in the culinary industry, finding his first job in a family owned Italian eatery when he was just 15 years old. He then moved on to work under some of Denver's most recognized chefs at The Manor House, where he worked his way up the ranks through dedication and passion for his craft, eventually becoming the Executive Chef. He won the Knoble Cup while completing the ACF Chef Apprentice Program, a rigorous 2 year program, for The American Culinary Federation of America. John has held other amazing positions in places such as The Red Rocks Country Club, Jimmy's Steak House, The University Club, and The Fort (where he met Executive Chef and friend Jeremy Zender). All of this experience has heightened his passion and ability with cuisine of every variety, and given him the keen ability to manipulate food to level, quality, and perfection that cannot be readily found just anywhere. He is excited to begin this food truck adventure, as it will afford him the opportunity to meet, experience, and enjoy all the people and places Colorado has to offer, as well as allowing him creative freedom in the development of quality cuisine!!
